The terms governing enrolment, attendance, assessment and certification across every Solvarienne casino training programme.
These terms form the agreement between you and Solvarienne Institute Ltd when you accept a place on a casino training programme, whether you enrol as an individual or are sponsored by a licensed casino operator.
Casino work is regulated. Several terms below exist because our graduates handle chips, cash equivalents and guest disputes on a live gaming floor, and because partner casinos rely on the integrity of the credential we issue.
Clause 01
A place is confirmed only when the registrar has verified your identity, age, right to work and — where the programme leads to licensed casino employment — your eligibility for the personnel checks required by casino operators.
Offers are held for seven days. Places on practical gaming programmes are capped by table capacity and are allocated in order of accepted offers.
Clause 02
Fees are published in the fee schedule issued with your offer and include chips, cards, shoes, wheels, layouts and practical room access. A deposit secures your place and is credited to your first instalment.
Where a casino operator sponsors your enrolment, the operator is liable for the fees and receives attendance and progression reporting under the sponsorship agreement.
Clause 03
Competency on a casino floor is built through supervised repetition, so a minimum of 90% attendance in practical sessions is required to sit a certification assessment. Absences are recorded and reviewed with your kaiako.
Trainees must observe practical room rules at all times: no personal items at the table, no phones in the pit, prescribed attire for assessed sessions, and full compliance with chip and float control procedure.
Clause 04
Because the credential signals trustworthiness to casino employers, integrity breaches are treated seriously. Falsifying an assessment, tampering with training chips or floats, or misrepresenting your assessed disciplines may result in withdrawal of certification.
Harassment, intoxication in the practical rooms or breach of Host Responsibility standards during simulated guest interaction may result in suspension or termination of enrolment without refund.
Clause 05
Assessment combines continuous practical observation, written module examinations and a final certification assessment moderated by an external examiner drawn from the partner casino panel.
One structured resit per module is included in your fees following a documented remediation plan. Further attempts are charged at the published resit rate. Certification is issued only when every assessed component is passed.
Clause 06
Withdrawals more than ten business days before the programme start date receive a full refund less the deposit. After that date refunds are pro-rated against delivered teaching. One deferral to a later intake is permitted at no charge with fourteen days' notice.
Clause 07
Our careers office introduces graduates to partner casinos, coaches auditions and hosts on-campus recruitment days. Hiring decisions rest entirely with the casino operator, and Solvarienne does not guarantee employment or any particular salary outcome.
Clause 08
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. These terms are governed by New Zealand law and subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
Complaints should be raised first with your programme director and then, if unresolved, in writing with the registrar, who will respond within twenty working days.
